When you log in to your account, you will be directly taken to the home page. To start translating:
When you choose the package, you will be redirected to the translation interface. On the top of the page you can see the source string that needs to be translated. Enter your translations in the text box below the source string. When you finish the translation, click Save & Next.
You also have the option to upvote an existing translation for a specific string. If you upvote a translation, it will count as a translation submission. This means that you can either translate a string or upvote an existing one.
In the left-hand pane of the translation interface, there is a list of all the strings which you need to translate to complete a package.
The right-hand pane has two tabs and contains reference materials such as screenshots of the product, translation guidelines and terminology.
When working with translation tools, translators are given parts of text to translate which are called strings. Strings are finite sequences of characters (i.e. letters, numerals, symbols and punctuation marks) that can vary in length. They can be a whole sentence, but can also consist of only a phrase or a word.
In case your translation is identical to an already existing one, it will count as an upvote, and not as a new translation. However, the check for identical translations is case-sensitive, which means that translations which differ only in capitalization will not be considered identical.
You can enter a maximum of two suggestions per string.
No. Once you have submitted your translation, you won’t be able to edit or delete it.
Common phrases are matches with previously entered translations that might not be 100% identical, but can still be a useful reference when translating.
Common phrases are displayed below the text box for translations.
